Corpse Conversion
Activate to spawn 2 minions for the first 3 charges and one minion for every subsequent 3 charges. Minions inflict a stacking -1 / 2 / 3 / 4% Movement Speed on attack.
Passively grants you the ability to consume corpses by walking over them. Each corpse heals 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 Health and grants you a charge. Maximum of 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 charges.
Hell on Newerth
Activate to unleash an expanding Blast on nearby enemies. The Blast becomes more powerful as you gain charges from enemy mana usage. If on cooldown, reduces cooldown by 1 second instead.
Deals from 200 / 250 / 300 up to 300 / 450 / 600 Magic Damage depending on the number of charges. Applies a tapering 50% Movement Speed Slow and spawns Volatile Minions that deals 200 / 275 / 350 Magic Damage when killed.
Staff of the Master: radius increased to 1000, max total Magic Damage increased to 500 / 650 / 800, and cooldown reduced to 70 seconds. Also applies Demonic Pathogen for 1.5 seconds to affected enemy heroes, with its spread effect on expiration only applying for 1.5 seconds.

INTRODUCTION
I don't believe in third ability in the beginning at all, so I usually max first and second. If your ult is on cd make sure you spam second ability on heroes, that way you'll get some cd off.
